What this opportunity involves: As the Environmental Management System & Sustainability Reporting Manager at JLL, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and upkeep of an ISO 14001 aligned EMS while providing strategic insights that drive meaningful change. In this role, you'll analyze key sustainability metrics for our client including electricity, natural gas, waste, water and Scope 3 elements, identifying energy efficiency conservation measures that support organizational sustainability objectives.

You'll collaborate with facility managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure all activities under operational control comply with relevant environmental legislation and guidelines. An overview of the role:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System in alignment with ISO 14001 requirements and industry best practices
- Maintain the Environmental aspects and impacts register, environmental legislative compliance requirements, and Environmental Management Plan with associated procedure documents
- Work with JLL vendors to ensure all activities under operational control are conducted in accordance with relevant environmental legislation and guidelines
- Undertake occasional site visits to assess and mitigate environmental risk, working primarily with existing facility management and third-party vendor teams
- Use client-provided consumption and cost data to compile insightful performance reporting that tracks current sustainability metrics and progress toward corporate targets
- Baseline and benchmark individual site performance to identify anomalies, outliers, and opportunities for energy conservation measures
- Prepare executive briefings and summary reports for monthly and quarterly business reporting, synthesizing complex technical information into easily understood advice
- Track progress against established sustainability objectives, targets, and metrics, providing regular reporting as needed
- Deliver training and education on environmental compliance to key internal and external stakeholders, collaborating across teams to maintain and develop risk registers and procedures
Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related field is highly regarded, but not required
- Strong working knowledge of environmental compliance and how this practically applies to commercial property
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant environmental legislation, policies and procedures
- Solid written and verbal communication abilities with the capacity to effectively present complex information
- High proficiency in data analysis using Excel
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple tasks with competing timelines and priorities
- Problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to managing change in support of environmental risk management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and communicate through action and example
