Excavator Operator – Southside An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Excavator Operator to join a well-established civil construction contractor working on projects across Brisbane's Southside. Offering an immediate start and competitive rates, this role provides potential ongoing work for the right candidate.
We are seeking a skilled operator with experience in bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, trenching, and general civil construction activities. Operators holding additional tickets such as loaders and rollers are strongly encouraged to apply.
Your new role
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently on civil construction projects
- Complete trenching, service installation and detailed excavation work
- Assist with earthmoving and site preparation activities
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance
- Work closely with site supervisors and ground crews
- Operate additional machinery where licenced and required What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience operating excavators in a civil construction environment
- Current Excavator ticket/licence
- White Card
- Reliable transport and robust commitment to safety
- PPE - High Vis, Steel Capped Boots & More
- Ability to work within a team and follow site instructions
- Loader and/or roller tickets highly regarded
- GPS machine control experience advantageous What you'll get in return
