Exercise Physiologist – Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
Port Adelaide & Wingfield, SA | Full Time | $85,000–$95,000 depending on experience Are you an Exercise Physiologist looking to develop or continue your career in musculoskeletal rehabilitation?
NP Exercise Physiology is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our team across Port Adelaide and Wingfield. We are particularly interested in clinicians with existing experience in Exercise Physiology, workers compensation, occupational rehabilitation or MSK rehabilitation.
Experienced EPs are highly encouraged to apply, however graduates with a genuine desire to build a career in musculoskeletal rehabilitation will also be considered.
The Role
This is a clinical Exercise Physiology treatment role. You will primarily deliver 1:1 exercise rehabilitation from established clinic and gym locations, treating clients across:
- Acute musculoskeletal injuries
- Chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- Workplace injuries
- Post-operative rehabilitation
- Functional restoration and return to pre-injury capacity
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Exercise and functional assessment
- Individualised exercise prescription
- Delivering and progressing 1:1 rehabilitation programs
- Clinical reasoning and rehabilitation planning
- Monitoring outcomes and adapting treatment programs
- Communication with doctors, case managers, RTW providers and other allied health professionals
- Working collaboratively on more complex rehabilitation cases
The large majority of your working day will be based at the same clinic or gym location, with occasional home or community appointments where required.
Work in a Genuine Multidisciplinary Environment
You'll join a team of 10+ Exercise Physiologists and work alongside physiotherapists,
occupational therapists and doctors. This provides an opportunity to collaborate on complex cases, develop your clinical reasoning and learn from clinicians across multiple disciplines.
Training, Mentoring & Development
We place a robust emphasis on developing excellent clinicians.
Our team receives
- Structured clinical training and mentoring
- Regular support and case discussion
- Quarterly clinical workshops
- Development in MSK and post-operative rehabilitation
- Training in workers compensation and occupational rehabilitation
- Progression towards increasingly complex caseloads as your skills develop
If you already have experience, we'll aim to build on your existing skills rather than putting you through a one-size-fits-all development pathway. If you have experience as an RTW provider or workers compensation case manager, this knowledge is highly regarded. This position provides an opportunity to use that experience while returning your focus to Exercise Physiology clinical treatment.
About You
Essential:
- ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- Genuine interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working independently while contributing to a team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality clinical care
Highly regarded:
- Previous Exercise Physiology clinical experience
- MSK or post-operative rehabilitation experience
- Workers compensation experience
- RTW provider or case management experience
- Experience communicating with doctors, insurers and rehabilitation stakeholders
Ideally, you will have one or more years of professional experience. However, we recognise that the right attitude, communication skills and desire to become an excellent MSK clinician are equally important. Graduates with a strong interest in MSK rehabilitation are encouraged to apply.
