Steve'os Rigging, Cranes & Welding is a Queensland-owned family business specialising in commercial structural steel erection, rigging and welding throughout South East Queensland.

As our project workload continues to grow and evolve, we're looking to connect with experienced Structural Steel Installers and Riggers who operate as subcontractors and are interested in working with us on commercial projects as opportunities arise.

Our work is primarily throughout South East Queensland, with occasional regional Queensland projects depending on client requirements.

About the Prospect

This is a project-based subcontract opportunity working on commercial structural steel installation projects throughout South East Queensland.

Work will vary depending on awarded projects and client requirements, making this role ideal for an established subcontractor looking to supplement their existing workload.

· Structural steel erection and installation

· Rigging and lifting operations

· Working at heights

· Working in restricted access areas

· Working alongside cranes and other lifting equipment

· Minor on-site welding and fabrication where required

· Travel throughout South East Queensland and occasional regional Queensland projects

Essential Skills & Experience





· Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial structural steel erection and installation

· Demonstrated experience with structural steel rigging and lifting operations

· Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings

· Current Basic Rigging Licence

· Current Dogging Licence

· Construction White Card

· Current Driver Licence

· Working at Heights

· EWP Licence

· Forklift Licence

· Willing to obtain (or already hold) a Blue Card if required for education projects

Highly Regarded

· Trade Qualification (Boilermaker/Fabrication or similar)

· Intermediate or Advanced Rigging

· Crane Licence

· HR or MR Driver Licence

Subcontractor Requirements

· Current ABN (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).

· Current Public Liability Insurance

· Ability to invoice Steve'os Rigging, Cranes & Welding for completed works

· Own transport

· Own tools suitable for structural steel installation (where applicable)

· Can work independently while also fitting in with a small team

· Communicates professionally with clients, builders and other trades

· Is reliable, honest and follows through on commitments
