Employment Type: Permanent About the Role Farm Work Available in Lakeland, Far North Queensland, for a family farming business that has been in operation for over 75 years - Mackays Bananas. There are 10 positions available on a permanent basis (38 hours per week). These positions are classified as level 1 under the Horticulture Award [MA000028].
Hours of Work are Monday to Thursday 6:30am to 4:40pm. We are looking for up to 10 candidates to begin in August 2026. The positions available are on Banana, Papaya and Avocado farms and the duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Bagging
- Bell Injecting
- Irrigation assistance
- Deleafing
- Desuckering
- Straining
- Harvesting
- Cleaning
- Packing
- Sorting & Clustering
- As well as any ad hoc duties within the competency of the employee Start Date: Looking for employees to start as of 10th August 2026. Qualifications/Skills:
