Our Client

Mayura Station is a nationally recognised, award-winning producer of premium Full-blood Wagyu beef. Located just six kilometres from Millicent, this highly professional, vertically integrated operation comprises 3,500 hectares, including 1,000 hectares of cropping, four centre pivots, a feedlot and approximately 13,000 cattle. Following the departure of the incumbent after 23 years, the business is seeking an accomplished agricultural leader to take charge of its complete on-farm operation.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and owner, the Farm Operations Manager will lead 21 people across breeding, pastoral, cropping, irrigation and feedlot activities. This is a rare prospect to shape the future of a prestigious Wagyu enterprise with committed ownership and first-class production assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, develop and build accountability across the on-farm team
- Oversee breeding, grazing, feedlot, cropping and irrigation programs
- Improve herd fertility, genetic performance and beef production outcomes
- Manage budgets, contractors, infrastructure and farm improvements

- Maintain high standards of WHS, animal welfare, biosecurity and compliance
- Drive productivity and profitability across the operation

Requirements

- At least 10 years’ experience in senior agricultural leadership, including beef cattle and people management
- Sound knowledge of beef production, ideally spanning breeding, feedlot, pasture, cropping or irrigation
- Proven commercial, planning and team leadership capability
- A practical, calm and ethical leadership style
- Relevant qualifications or substantial equivalent experience, plus a current driver’s licence

To Apply

Please apply online through the Agricultural Appointments website (www.agri.com.au), or through SEEK.
