Industrial Climate Control Technician
HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Emergency Response, Travel We are a global industry leader providing temperature and humidity control solutions across multiple industries, including construction, industrial, and water damage restoration.
We are seeking skilled HVAC and/or Electrical Technicians who are ready to apply their trade experience in a specialized industrial setting. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified technicians looking to expand their expertise beyond traditional HVAC or electrical work and build a long-term career with a company that values technical training, safety, and professional growth.
We provide training on our specialized equipment and applications—you bring the HVAC, refrigeration and/or electrical knowledge, hands-on experience, and troubleshooting ability.
About the Role
As a Industrial Climate Control Technician, you’ll work with specialized temporary temperature and humidity control equipment used on industrial, construction, and water damage restoration projects. You’ll be responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment in both our facility and at customer sites.
This is a hands-on field position ideal for a technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, working with mechanical and electrical systems, and getting out into the field rather than doing the same work every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in office installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of specialized equipment
- Diagnose HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical issues
- Assist with equipment setup, commissioning, operation, and removal
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Provide technical and customer support during site visits and service dispatches
- Ensure equipment is properly serviced, tested, cleaned, and ready for deployment
- Complete service and inspection reports accurately and on time
- Follow company safety standards, electrical safety requirements, and field procedures
- Work collaboratively with operations, sales, and other technicians
- Build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
We are particularly interested in technicians who have an HVAC, refrigeration and/or electrical trade background or qualification.
- HVAC, refrigeration and/or electrical qualification or relevant trade experience
- Solid fault-finding, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, or industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and job-site conditions
- Willingness to travel when required, including on short notice
- Ability to work additional hours when project or emergency-response conditions require
- Current driver's licence
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
Expand Your Trade Experience
This role offers qualified HVAC and electrical technicians the opportunity to gain experience with a broad range of specialized industrial equipment, including:
- Desiccant and refrigerant dehumidification systems
- Air conditioning and temporary cooling systems
- Chillers and cooling towers
- Heaters
- Air filtration systems
- Air movers
- Portable generators
- Temporary electrical power distribution
You don't need previous experience with all of this equipment. We'll train you on our systems and applications. We're looking for technicians who already have a strong HVAC, refrigeration and/or electrical foundation and are ready to expand their technical skills.
Emergency Response & Travel
Our technicians also support water damage and emergency restoration projects, which can occasionally require travel on short notice. Depending on the project, technicians may be required to travel interstate, remain on site for multiple weeks, and work extended days or weekends. Emergency projects may involve challenging conditions, including storm or flood-affected areas where normal utilities or power may be temporarily unavailable.
If you enjoy technical challenges, variety, travel, and hands-on field work, this role provides an opportunity to use your trade skills in an environment very different from traditional HVAC or electrical service work.
Join our team and take your HVAC or electrical career into the specialized world of industrial temperature and humidity control.
