About Us:

We offer Mechanical and Fluid Power Solutions for our diverse market, providing sales, service, and maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems since 1968. Our client base covers mining, oil and gas, power, pulp and paper, agriculture, and the transport sector. We are also Australia’s leading distributor for Triple R Oil filtration and privately owned family business.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Field Technician with Hydraulic experience or an enthusiastic person from an allied industry. If you are bored from the repetitiveness of your current role, are looking to do more challenging repairs and diagnostics work, whilst still having training and support at your fingertips then this role could be for you!
The Role
Based in our Keysborough Branch, reporting to the Branch Manager, your responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Providing support and guidance to other techs and apprentices.
- Perform allocated work within the workshop, test bench and pump set up and tuning, high tonnage cylinder recertification, valve testing and resealing and the list goes on
- Trouble shooting and diagnostic work, on closed and open loop hydraulic systems
- On-site repair, maintenance and fault-finding work on various customer sites.
- Maintain equipment, tools and work area along with good documentation and service records.
- Regular drug and alcohol testing required to access critical infrastructure sites
About you The successful candidate will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and experience in hydraulics maintenance and repairs. To be considered for this role you will possess:
- Relevant trade qualifications (i.e Diesel, Mechanical, Hydraulic Fitter, Earth-moving or allied industry)
- Valid MR Truck Licence (Manual Car Licence required)
- Forklift Licence
- 5 + years post-trade experience
- Flexibility to work overtime and on weekend call-out rosters when required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A desire to grow and develop a long-standing career within the Hydraulic & Pneumatic Pty Ltd.
- Full working rights in Australia – no restrictions
Other attributes that are not necessary but will be highly regarded:
- A strong background in Field Service experience with the ability to prepare clear and concise service reports
- Experience in Fluid Power (Oil) and lubrication systems services
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics
