· Managing the quarterly member and supplier rebate cycle, including calculations, controls, reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
· Maintaining a robust financial control environment, including accounting policies, delegated authorities, reconciliations, payment controls, segregation of duties and fraud-risk prevention.
· Preparing annual budgets, periodic forecasts and longer-term financial planning with partnership with Department Heads.
· Leading cash-flow and liquidity forecasting and improving working-capital performance across receivables, payables and the cash conversion cycle.
· Oversight of staff credit cards and expenses
· Providing commercial analysis, scenario modelling and practical recommendations to support decisions, cost management, margin improvement and sustainable profit growth.
· Translating complex financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders and constructively challenging business assumptions where required.
· Maintaining overall oversight of payroll accuracy, controls and compliance, including PAYG withholding, superannuation, payroll tax, Workcover and reporting obligations.
· Preparation and lodgement of activity statements on ATO business portal.
· Improving financial systems, dashboards, data integrity, automation and reporting efficiency, including controls over system access and master data.
· Partnering with the CEO, Board, Senior Leadership Team, external auditors, tax advisers, financial institutions and other key stakeholders.
· Leading, supporting and developing the Finance & Administration Assistant and contributing positively to the broader leadership culture of Office Choice.
About You:
You are a technically strong and commercially astute finance professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment while advising senior leaders, improving systems and strengthening organisational performance.
You will bring:
· A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
· Current CA or CPA membership, or an equivalent internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
· Substantial experience in a Financial Controller,
Senior Finance Manager, Finance Manager or comparable senior finance role.
· Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
· Demonstrated experience managing month-end and year-end close, statutory reporting, external audits, taxation and regulatory compliance.
· Advanced budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow and working-capital management capability.
· Strong commercial analysis and financial business partnering skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with non-financial stakeholders.
· Experience establishing and maintaining effective internal controls, financial policies and governance frameworks.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong ERP, reporting and financial systems capability; experience with Pronto, Enable and business-intelligence tools will be highly regarded.
· Demonstrated success improving financial processes, systems, controls and reporting.
· Strong leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, organisation and prioritisation skills.
· Sound judgement, integrity, professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Why join Office Choice?
· A broad and influential finance leadership role with direct exposure to the CEO and Board.
· The opportunity to shape business performance, strategy and decision-making.
· A balance of technical accounting, commercial insight and genuine business partnering.
· The prospect to modernise reporting, systems and financial processes.
· A collaborative and supportive working environment within a respected national organisation.
· The ability to make a visible and lasting contribution to the future of the finance function.
