Finance Systems Analyst | WAM Finance & Supply Chain

Davidson has partnered with Barwon Water to appoint a Finance Systems Analyst to support the finance stream of one of regional Victoria's most significant transformation programs.

Barwon Water delivers water, sewerage and recycled water services to more than 330,000 people across the Geelong region and surrounding communities. Through its Works & Asset Management (WAM) transformation, the organisation is investing in new systems, processes and ways of working that will strengthen how it manages its assets, finances and supply chain into the future.

About the Role

Combining finance knowledge with systems analysis and strong data capability, you'll help translate detailed finance requirements into practical system specifications, processes and user materials.

Working closely with the Finance Systems Accountant, finance SMEs, technical delivery partners and end users, you'll support everything from process analysis and data reconciliation through to testing, documentation, training and implementation readiness.

Key Responsibilities

· Analyse current and future finance processes impacted by WAM, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, procurement and supply chain activities.

· Support the uplift, configuration and integration of TechOne with the broader WAM solution.

· Translate finance requirements into clear specifications, process maps, acceptance criteria and user stories.

· Undertake data analysis, mapping, reconciliation, migration preparation and issue investigation using advanced Excel skills.

· Identify gaps, risks, assumptions and dependencies that could impact configuration, integration, testing or adoption.

· Develop practical user documentation, business work instructions, quick reference guides and training materials.

· Support testing,



user acceptance testing and readiness activities to ensure finance users are prepared for implementation.

About You

You're someone who can comfortably move between the worlds of finance, systems and data. You understand how finance processes work in practice, but you're equally comfortable getting into the detail of system requirements, large datasets, reconciliations and process documentation. You'll bring strong attention to detail and an ability to identify ambiguity or issues before they become delivery risks.

Must-Haves

· Practical financial background with a strong understanding of finance operations and transaction processes.

· Experience supporting finance system upgrades, ERP implementations, integrations or finance transformation projects.

· Advanced Excel skills, including large datasets, reconciliations, lookups, pivots and data quality checks.

· Experience creating practical user documentation, work instructions or training materials.

· Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

· Ability to work independently while remaining aligned with project priorities and finance governance.

Nice-to-Have

· Experience with TechnologyOne / TechOne Financials or a comparable financial ERP platform.

· Experience supporting UAT, data migration, system integration or cutover activities.
