Financial Accountant

Duration: Perm (open to temp to perm)

Location: Alexandria/Mascot

Salary: Up to $140,000 package (inc super)

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established construction business, reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

This is a great chance for few different profiles:

1. someone currently in a contract role looking for a permanent position
2. second mover looking to step into a larger, more complex business, with exposure to larger projects and a broader financial accounting environment
3. first movers coming from a Big 4 or mid-tier audit background, particularly those who have experience auditing construction businesses and are looking to make their first move into industry.

The Role Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

- Month-end and year-end reporting
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Statutory reporting and compliance
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements
- Working with external auditors
- Supporting the wider finance team across financial accounting and reporting




- Providing financial insights and analysis to the broader business

About You We are open to candidates at different stages of their career, provided you have strong technical accounting foundations.

Experience within construction is highly regarded, but we are particularly interested in candidates with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing their career within industry.
