To further accelerate our growth in line with the global business strategy, we have a full-time opportunity for a passionate and self-motivated Financial Services Controller to be based in the Rydalmere branch of our All Lift subsidiary in Sydney. The Financial Services Controller owns the financial reporting, planning and control framework for the Financial Services business. The role ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting, supports robust forecasting and annual planning, and maintains the integrity of lease accounting, rental asset depreciation and related financial data.
Acting as a key interface between the local business, Australian Holding Co and Regional/Group Finance, the position provides clear financial analysis, ensures compliance with Group Accounting guidelines and IFRS, and supports strong audit, tax and governance outcomes.
About You:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly acquired subsidiary at a pivotal stage of its growth journey and play a key role in the post-merger integration of the Financial Services function. You will have the chance to help align financial reporting, controls, systems and processes with Jungheinrich Group standards, while partnering closely with local and regional stakeholders to support a smooth transition and build a strong platform for future success.
You will ideally have
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (required).
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, Australian Accounting Standards and relevant accounting principles.
- Experience in financial reporting, month-end close, forecasting and annual planning processes.
- Practical experience in lease accounting and related financial data management.
- Experience working with external auditors, advisors, and internal governance functions.
- Experience working in an international or matrix organisation would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in ERP/ financial reporting systems and advanced Excel skills would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with local and Regional/ Group stakeholders. Including the ability to translate complex financial matters for non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- High level of independence, ownership and initiative. Display strong prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and ongoing application of the Jungheinrich financial reporting model.
- Maintain accurate lease contract data and apply lease accounting principles to ensure correct accounting treatment and bookings.
- Apply Group depreciation guidelines for rental assets and monitor depreciation accuracy.
- Ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of lease contract information and related data inputs.
- Prepare accurate and timely Group reporting for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial reporting inputs for annual planning, quarterly forecasts and related business review processes.
- Act as the key finance interface between the local business, Australian Holding Co and Regional/Group Finance.
- Ensure compliance with Group Accounting guidelines, IFRS requirements and relevant local accounting principles.
- Coordinate audit deliverables and support timely resolution of audit queries.
- Contribute to special projects, process improvements and finance transformation initiatives as required.
- Collaborate across the Finance function to share knowledge, resolve issues and support business priorities.
