Short Description
Program and commission commercial fire alarm systems across major apartment, commercial and government projects throughout Sydney. Working predominantly on-site, you'll program fire panels, commission systems and deliver projects from installation through to final handover. Experience with Notifier, Ampac, Firesense or Pertronic fire alarm systems is highly regarded.

Their capabilities span the full project lifecycle, from design coordination through to commissioning, with particular expertise in complex dry fire systems.
Following significant growth over the past 12 months, the company has expanded its dry fire division and continues to secure a strong pipeline of work across Sydney. Current projects include multiple apartment towers, commercial warehouses and government developments, creating excellent long-term career stability for the successful candidate.
About the Role
You'll play a key role delivering the programming and commissioning of commercial fire alarm systems across major construction projects throughout Sydney. Working predominantly on-site,
you'll be responsible for programming fire panels and associated field devices across complex multi-panel systems before project completion and handover. This is a hands-on technical position suited to an experienced Fire Panel Programmer / technician who enjoys working on programming.
Projects are primarily located throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.
Duties
- Program commercial fire alarm panels and associated devices
- Commission complete fire alarm systems
- Configure multiple fire panels across large developments
- Test, fault-find and validate programmed systems
- Work closely with Project Managers and installation teams
- Assist with project commissioning and final handover
- Ensure works are completed to project specifications and industry standards
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Experience programming commercial fire alarm systems
- Ideal for Fire Technician with a lot of Programming Experience.
- Experience with Notifier, Ampac, Firesense and/or Pertronic panels
- Experience working on commercial construction projects
- Solid fault-finding and commissioning skills
- Ability to work independently on-site
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A NSW Electrical Licence is not essential for candidates with proven commercial fire panel programming experience.
