Privately owned, family-run manufacturing facility specializing in high-quality steel and aluminium semi-trailers and low loaders.
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter with experience in the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and components for trailers and transport equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with air, electrical, and hydraulic systems, particularly with tippers, low loaders, and semi-trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and maintain air, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems in trailers and transport equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery
- Follow technical drawings and schematics for precise assembly
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools
- Conduct equipment inspections and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Relevant trade qualification or demonstrated experience
- Previous experience in mechanical fitting
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
- Experience with mechanical, air, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Previous experience with tippers, low loaders, and semi-trailers is highly desirable
- Commitment to safety and high attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
