About the role

Iqra College is seeking an experienced and passionate teacher with the capacity to teach PE to join our team on a full-time, fixed term basis. Based in O'Halloran Hill, SA, this role will play a crucial part in delivering engaging and high-quality secondary education to our diverse student body.

Key responsibilities include:

- Plan and deliver comprehensive PE curriculum to students across high school
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the holistic development of each child.
- Be passionate about how learning occurs and utilize a variety of appropriate pedagogies to engage students and enhance their understanding of concepts.




- Be creative in assessing student progress through ongoing formative and summative assessments and provide feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement cross-curricular initiatives and extracurricular activities that enrich the learning experience.
- Be able to set high standards for student learning and their own performance

What we're looking for

- Degree in Education or relevant field.
- Valid teaching certification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia or any other state.
- Demonstrable experience teaching the subjects at the secondary school level
- Strong subject matter expertise and the ability to engage students through creative, hands-on learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
