TheCanberra Rex Hotel, which is a multi-faceted property able to cater for many different experiences across different locations on site.

The Howling Moon is Canberra’s first rooftop bar. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional experience with panoramic views and signature food and beverages.

Our cocktail lounge, Swan & King was developed to compliment our restaurant which services breakfast, dinner and room service seven days a week.

We have extensive banqueting spaces with opportunities to be involved in the preparation, service and pack-down of events.

The Roles

You will be a key member of the Food & Beverage delivery team, helping us to ensure we provide exceptional services and products to all our guests.

About You

We are looking for people who are customer service orientated, with a friendly, fun and energetic disposition.

It is essential that you possess exceptional communication skills and that you can work independently but are a team player. You will have the ability to work well under pressure whilst always maintaining a professional attitude.

Be reliable and flexible in your availability to work a variety of shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays

Requirements

Bartenders;

- High level customer service




- Mixology and cocktail making skills as well as a solid base wine knowledge
- Current RSA

Bar backs;

- Quick and efficient
- Prior experience not essential
- Current RSA

Floor staff;

- High level customer service
- Prior experience in a la carte service
- Barista skills favoured
- Current RSA

Banquets staff;

- High level customer service
- Strong attention to detail
- Current RSA

The Canberra Rex Hotel is located in Braddon, and is home to boutique accommodation, event spaces and multiple food and beverage outlets, including The Howling Moon rooftop bar as well as a great team!
