As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a Food & Cosmetics Regulatory Compliance Consultant to join our team.

About the role

This is an excellent prospect for someone with a foundation in food and/or cosmetics regulatory affairs who wants to broaden their experience across multiple product categories and work directly with some of Australia's best-known brands.

You'll play an important role in helping clients achieve compliance throughout the product development lifecycle, from reviewing product specifications through to packaging and marketing claims.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Advising on regulatory compliance for food and consumer products, including labelling, composition and marketing claims.
- Reviewing product specifications and packaging artwork to ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand legislation.
- Working closely with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and brand owners to resolve compliance issues.
- Supporting compliance across a diverse range of categories, including dairy, meat, pet food, special purpose foods and non-food consumer products.




- Keeping up to date with evolving legislation and contributing to practical, commercially focused compliance solutions.

About you You'll thrive in this role if you're naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems and have a keen eye for detail.

We're looking for someone with:

- A degree in Food Science, Chemistry or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in a food or product compliance, regulatory affairs or quality related role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements, including the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, Country of Origin Food Labelling Information Standard and Australian Consumer Law.
- Knowledge of the Poisons Standard, AICIS (Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme) Inventory and the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) Database.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other digital workplace tools.
- A genuine passion for food, innovation and helping bring great products to market.
