Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ford Diagnostic Technician role located in Emerald, QLD.

The Ford Diagnostic

Technician is responsible for accurately diagnosing faults in Ford vehicles using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals. Day-to-day tasks include performing vehicle inspections, carrying out scheduled maintenance, completing repairs, and documenting all work performed in line with dealership and manufacturer standards. The role involves collaborating with service advisors, explaining technical findings in explicit terms, and supporting customer satisfaction through timely and effective repairs.

The technician also follows safety procedures, maintains a clean and organized workspace,



and participates in ongoing training to stay current with Ford technologies and service bulletins.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding for Ford or similar automotive brands (Diagnose).
- Candidates should possess practical skills in routine servicing, repair procedures, and general Vehicle Maintenance.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to explain technical issues and interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Relevant automotive trade qualification or apprenticeship completion (e.g., Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
- Experience working as an automotive technician in a dealership or workshop environment, preferably with Ford vehicles, is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic reports, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and computer-based service systems; willingness to undertake Ford-specific training.
- Valid driver’s license and a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
