This role is ideal for a chemist who enjoys hands-on formulation work, product development, and solving technical problems. You’ll work on liquid fertiliser formulations, testing product performance, improving stability, and helping turn ideas and raw materials into reliable commercial products. What you’ll be doing

Developing and formulating new fertiliser products for commercialisation

Researching new raw materials, formulation methods, and processing techniques

Planning and carrying out laboratory experiments to test product performance and stability

Analysing data and recommending improvements to products, formulations, and processes

Troubleshooting issues in liquid formulations, including quality, stability, and performance concerns





Working with production and quality teams to support scaleup and manufacturing

Maintaining accurate records and preparing technical reports

Working safely and collaboratively in a practical laboratory and manufacturing environment What we’re looking for

PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience in chemical formulation development and optimisation

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and technical reporting

Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Fertiliser industry experience preferred This is a hands-on formulation role with national support, a solid nutrition-focused portfolio, and the opportunity to contribute to practical product innovation across Australian agriculture.
