THE ROLE
Labour Connect is seeking experienced Freight Handlers and Forklift Drivers to join a busy international freight terminal at Brisbane Airport.
Working in a fast-paced cargo environment, you will support daily freight operations and ensure cargo is moved safely, efficiently and on time.
PAY RATES
Freight Handlers
- Casual Base Rate: $38.05 per hour
- Morning/Afternoon Shift: $42.62 per hour
- Night Shift: $44.90 per hour
- Overtime: $53.27 per hour
- Public Holidays: $68.49 per hour
- Christmas & Good Friday: $83.71 per hour
Forklift Drivers
- Casual Base Rate: $39.35 per hour
- Morning/Afternoon Shift: $44.07 per hour
- Night Shift: $46.43 per hour
- Overtime: $55.09 per hour
- Public Holidays: $70.83 per hour
- Christmas & Good Friday: $86.57 per hour
Rates are subject to the applicable shift, overtime and penalty conditions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating forklifts to load, unload and move freight
- Handling and sorting international cargo
- Scanning and processing freight
- Manual handling of freight up to 35kg
- Following strict safety and operational procedures
- Working as part of a busy team
ABOUT YOU To be successful, you will have:
- Full Australian working rights
- Current LF Forklift Licence – forklift positions
- Minimum 6 months forklift operating experience
- MUST be available to work a rotating Monday–Sunday roster
- MUST be flexible to work shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM and finishing as late as 2:00 AM
- Weekend and public holiday availability is required
- Reliable transport – public transport is not suitable
- Solid reliability and attendance
- Previous warehouse, freight or dockhand experience is advantageous
- Ability to perform physical manual handling duties
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
