Yergan Landscape is looking for a Garden Maintenance & Horticulture Team Member to join our team, working across high-end residential gardens throughout Adelaide.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in plants and horticulture, a strong work ethic and an eye for detail. You’ll be involved in maintaining established gardens to a high standard, as well as assisting with planting projects and larger garden renovations.

Previous hands-on experience in garden maintenance, horticulture or landscaping is highly regarded, however we’re also open to horticulture or landscape students who are keen to build their practical experience within the industry.

You’ll work alongside our experienced horticulturists and landscaping team, with the opportunity to continue developing your practical skills and plant knowledge.

About the Role

This is a casual position, initially around 1–2 days per week, with additional days available as we move into our busier spring and summer period.

The role is varied and includes the ongoing care of our established residential gardens, along with larger planting projects and garden renovations.

Your days may include

- Pruning, hedging and shaping plants
- General garden maintenance and presentation
- Seasonal cutbacks
- Weeding, mulching and soil improvement
- Clearing and preparing existing garden beds for renovation
- Soil preparation and improvement
- Installing and adjusting irrigation lines
- Setting out and installing recent plants
- Mulching newly planted and existing garden beds
- Working alongside our horticulturists and landscaping team on larger planting and garden renovation projects
- Identifying and communicating plant health, pest or irrigation issues





As you become familiar with our gardens and the way we work, there will also be opportunities to take responsibility for regular properties and work more independently.

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from someone who:

- Has a genuine interest in plants, gardens and horticulture
- Has some practical gardening, horticulture or landscaping experience, or is currently studying within the industry
- Has a strong work ethic and is reliable
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Takes pride in the presentation and quality of their work
- Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Is keen to learn and continue developing their skills
- Works well within a team and can also work independently when required
- Is comfortable using common garden tools and equipment
- Holds a current driver’s licence
