Are you the person colleagues come to when something needs to actually get done, not just talked about? Do you get a quiet sense of satisfaction from turning a messy process into a smooth one? Have you spent your career making the people around you more effective, even if you're rarely the one in the spotlight? If that sounds like you, we have the role you've been waiting for.

Integrent is a trusted partner to Defence and asset-intensive organisations, specialising in end-to-end asset management, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and sustainment governance. The company focuses on practical delivery through a close-knit team supported by strategic partners and a strong technical network. Integrent is recognised for stabilising complex environments and leaving clients with durable systems and capabilities, guided by its ETKI model that moves work from evidence to action.

The organisation is driven by values of Care, Integrity, Enduring, Pioneering, and Steadfast, offering honest advice and disciplined execution.

What you'll be doing

This isn't a back-office box-ticking role. We need someone who can own the operational backbone of a business delivering complex Defence ILS and asset management work and make sure that everything from resourcing and reporting to internal processes and governance runs the way it should, so our consulting teams can focus on the work that matters.

You'll work closely with leadership to manage day-to-day business operations, including workforce planning, internal reporting, budget tracking, compliance and security obligations, and the systems and processes that keep a Defence-focused business running smoothly. You'll be trusted to identify inefficiencies before they become problems and to drive improvements that stick.

You're probably the right person if you:

- Have solid experience in business operations, project coordination, or internal management roles,

ideally within Defence, government, or another security-conscious industry.
- Are comfortable juggling multiple priorities - budgets, resourcing, reporting, compliance - without dropping the ball on any of them.
- Have a knack for spotting when a process isn't working and the initiative to actually fix it, rather than just flagging it.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality, security protocols, and governance in a Defence industry context.
- Are a natural communicator who can work effectively with consultants, leadership, and external stakeholders alike.
- Want a role where your impact is felt across the whole business, even if you're working behind the scenes.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in General Management and Team Management, with experience leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
- Strong Operations Management skills, including process optimisation, performance monitoring, and delivery of sustainable operational outcomes.
- Experience in Budgeting and financial oversight, including forecasting, cost control, and aligning resources with strategic priorities.
- Proven Customer Service capability, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and delivering measurable value to clients.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, engineering, logistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with Defence or asset-intensive sectors, or in asset management, ILS, or sustainment governance, is highly advantageous.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate effectively in complex, high-accountability environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

What's in it for you A genuinely central role in a business doing meaningful work. Flexible working arrangements, a competitive salary open to negotiation, comprehensive advantages including gender-neutral paid parental leave, and real investment in your professional development.

Veterans - we want to hear from you

Many of the best operations people we know learned their craft in uniform - managing logistics, resourcing, and complex moving parts under pressure. If you've transitioned from the ADF, that experience translates directly here, and we genuinely value it. We actively support veterans moving into civilian operations roles and will work with you to make that transition smooth.

Our commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and we pay our respects to their Elders - past, present, and emerging. We are committed to building a workplace that creates real opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and we welcome and encourage applications from First Nations candidates.

We are committed to an equitable and inclusive recruitment process for everyone. If you need any support or adjustments to participate fully, please reach out - anything you share with us will be kept completely confidential.

Applicants will be required to hold or be eligible to obtain an appropriate Australian Government security clearance.
