Our client is a well-established and highly regarded property and guest services business operating in the beautiful Airlie Beach and Whitsundays. As the business continues to grow, an exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious leader who is ready to take the next step into a General Manager position. This role is ideal for someone who has proven success leading teams within the hospitality, tourism or accommodation industry and is now looking for the opportunity to step into a broader leadership role with greater commercial responsibility and the chance to make a genuine impact on the future of the business.

This is more than a traditional management role. We are looking for someone who genuinely values people, thinks commercially, understands what drives business performance and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to support the team when needed. You will have a robust background in business development, financial performance and operational leadership, with the ambition to lead the business through its next stage of growth.

About the Role

You will oversee all areas of the business including Sales, Guest Services, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Administration and Property Presentation. You will play a key role in driving business performance, identifying growth opportunities and maintaining the exceptional culture and service standards the business is known for.

You will lead an experienced and high-performing team while taking an active role in driving business growth. Working closely with the team, you will identify new opportunities,



strengthen industry relationships and contribute to the continued expansion of the business. Your business development experience and commercial mindset will be key to growing the property portfolio, increasing revenue and supporting the long-term success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor department leaders across Operations, Guest Services, Marketing, Finance and Sales
- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing workplace culture
- Drive business growth through strategic planning and business development initiatives
- Take ownership of financial performance, budgeting and profitability
- Develop and strengthen relationships with property owners, referral partners and key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to expand the property portfolio and increase revenue
- Deliver exceptional guest and homeowner experiences
- Resolve complex operational matters and provide leadership during escalated situations
- Ensure business compliance, efficient administration and continuous improvement across all functions
- Support after-hours teams when required, providing leadership and guidance during critical incidents

What We're Looking For

- Leadership experience within the hospitality, tourism, accommodation or related industry
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with an understanding of how to drive business performance, profitability and sustainable growth
- A proven track record in business development, sales growth and building strong client relationships
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to inspire, coach and build trust
- Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on leadership style
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences

Desirable

- Experience within accommodation, tourism, hospitality or property management
- Current Real Estate Licence
- Existing networks within the Whitsundays region
- Knowledge of the local tourism and accommodation market

Salary & Benefits

- Attractive salary package of approximately $130,000 plus superannuation (negotiable on experience)
