Biemond Nurseries is a family-owned indoor plant nursery operation based in the Yarra Valley.

We have a number of General Nursery Hand positions available. The roles are to support the production team and/or the dispatch team. You will play a key role in helping to nurture and maintain our wide range of indoor plants. Your day will be varied from potting (machine and hand), watering and spacing, to feeding, pruning and weeding. You will need to be comfortable using technology as part of the role, as you will be using our app daily and other digital platforms within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Watering, fertilizing, spacing, putting down stock, and pruning indoor plants.

- Monitoring and maintaining optimal growing conditions (temperature, humidity, light, etc.).

- Inspecting plants for pests and diseases and implementing appropriate measures.

- Potting (machine and hand).

- Picking and selecting the best plants for sale to ensure the highest quality for our customers.

- Keeping accurate records of plant care activities.





- Collaborating with team members to ensure the nursery is well-maintained and organized.

- Assisting with inventory management and restocking.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Positive attitude towards work and interacting with team members (essential)

- Previous experience in plant care or nursery work (essential)

- Knowledge of indoor plant varieties and their care requirements (preferred but not essential).

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to plant health and aesthetics.

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to lift and carry plant containers and supplies
