Role Description The GP Liaison is a full-time, in office role based in Melbourne, VIC, responsible for building and maintaining solid relationships between Melbourne NeuroCare and general practitioners in the community. Day-to-day tasks include communicating referral pathways, coordinating information flow between GPs and the clinic, and ensuring timely feedback on patient outcomes. The role involves organising and attending meetings, educational sessions, and events for GP networks, as well as representing the clinic at relevant professional gatherings.

The GP Liaison will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline processes, improve the referral experience, and support patient-centered care.



This position requires proactive outreach, clear communication, detailed record-keeping, and regular reporting on liaison activities and outcomes.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in healthcare liaison, practice management, medical administration, or a related healthcare coordination role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships and engage with GPs and other healthcare providers.

Organisational and time management skills to manage meetings, events, follow-ups, and documentation efficiently.

Professional writing and presentation skills for preparing correspondence, educational materials, and referral guides.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and uphold patient-centered, holistic care values.

Familiarity with neurology or specialist medical services, and an understanding of referral processes in primary care and specialist settings.

Comfort with basic digital tools and practice management systems for maintaining accurate records and reports.

Relevant tertiary qualification in health, communications, business, or a related field is highly regarded.

Previous experience in a GP liaison, outreach, or business development role within healthcare is an advantage.
