Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Pharmacists to join the Pharmacy Department at Broadmeadows Hospital.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Northern Health Pharmacy Department:

The Pharmacy Department operates across six campuses and has a strong vision to deliver exceptional, evidenced-based care to our patients - with a transparent focus on research, medication safety and clinical excellence.

The department comprises over 120 pharmacists and 30 technicians to provide clinical, operational, quality and informatics services with a strong focus on workforce culture and commitment to professional development.

We are currently undergoing a period of expansion which provides unique opportunities for specialisation appealing to those wishing to challenge themselves and advance practice including pharmacist and technician advanced-scope roles, collaborative multidisciplinary programs and services, award winning medicine stewardship programs (e.g.



analgesics, anticoagulants, antimicrobials and transitions of care) and care beyond hospital walls.

Education and development of pharmacists are supported through structured and accredited intern, resident and registrar training programs.

About the Role:

The position is fixed term part time (until September 2027) at our Broadmeadows Campus. The successful candidate will work alternate Sundays, providing a combination of dispensary and clinical pharmacy services to support the delivery of weekend pharmacy care. The role offers the possibility of extension or transition to an ongoing position.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Department to achieve the strategic outcomes of the Department. To be successful in this role you will have:

- Current enrolment in Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent qualifications
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
- Clinical experience as a hospital pharmacist for a minimum of 3 years
- Commitment to evidence based and patient-centred care
- Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills
