Dans Plants is a well-established and thriving nursery located in the heart of Heatherton, Victoria, Australia. Being the most automated nursery in the country, we take pride in offering a wide variety of plants and decorative pots to our valued customers

We are looking for a motivated and reliable team member to join our Greenhouse Operations team on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday; 38 hours per week).

This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of plant benches throughout our greenhouse growing areas using iPads and specialised software. You’ll play an integral part in ensuring plants move efficiently through production and dispatch.

No nursery experience is required, however knowledge of plants is beneficial, along with confidence using specialist software, a practical and mechanically minded approach, with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or bench alignment issues when required.

About the Role

Duties will include

- Moving and organising benches throughout multiple greenhouse areas using iPads and greenhouse software

- Liaising with sales and dispatch teams regarding daily movement of stock

- Monitoring greenhouse presentation and upkeep

- Pulling weeds, straightening fallen plants, and maintaining tidy work areas

- Assisting with general greenhouse organisation and plant care

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:





- Is technologically minded – can learn new systems quickly and confidently

- Is mechanically minded and thrives working in a hands-on role, as occasionally equipment may require manual realignment or adjustment

- Has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in keeping work areas neat and organised

- Has an interest in plants or horticulture

- Works well independently and as part of a team

- Is proactive and notices small issues before they become bigger problems

- Is reliable, organised, and physically fit

Experience

- Nursery or horticulture experience is an advantage but not essential

- Experience (and confidence) using iPads and various specialised computer systems is essential

- Full training will be provided
