We're now seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help shape the next chapter of Marrow & Co.

About the Role

Reporting to the Culinary Director, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Marrow & Co. kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency and service standards across every shift.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee kitchen operations, develop and inspire your team, and drive a culture of excellence while maintaining strong commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing kitchen brigade.

- Deliver exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency.

- Manage kitchen operations, rostering, labour costs and inventory.

- Collaborate with the Culinary Director on menu development and seasonal offerings.

- Drive food safety, WHS and compliance standards.

- Manage food costs and purchasing to achieve budget targets.

- Foster a positive and professional kitchen culture focused on teamwork and accountability.

- Work closely with front-of-house leaders to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

- Maintain premium standards across all aspects of food preparation and service.

About You





You are an experienced culinary leader who thrives in a premium restaurant environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional food and guest experiences.

You lead by example, remain calm under pressure and have a genuine passion for developing people and creating a high-performing team culture.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef, or similar leadership role.

- Experience within premium dining, steakhouse, hatted or high-quality restaurant environments.

- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing food costs, labour and inventory.

- Demonstrated success leading, mentoring and developing kitchen teams.

- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

- A passion for premium produce, quality ingredients and culinary excellence.

- The ability to perform under pressure while maintaining exceptional standards.

- A solid focus on guest satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

- Certificate IV in Hospitality and/or Management highly desirable

- Food Safety Supervisor Certification

- Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures Certification

- Provide First Aid Certification
