An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished and commercially focused Head of Finance to join a successful and established organisation based in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with the CEO and business leaders to drive financial performance, strengthen commercial decision-making and support the organisation's continued growth.

We're looking for a finance leader who understands the numbers — but importantly, understands what sits behind them.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Finance will lead the finance function while acting as a trusted commercial partner across the organisation.

You will have visibility across the entire business and play an influential role in planning, performance and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include

- Partnering with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive commercial and financial performance.
- Leading annual budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning.
- Providing meaningful financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Monitoring revenue, profitability, margins, costs and key performance drivers.
- Developing financial models and business cases to assess growth opportunities, investments and strategic initiatives.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities and proactively recommending action.
- Providing timely and insightful management reporting to the CEO, leadership team and Board.
- Leading cash flow, working capital and financial performance management.
- Improving financial systems, processes, reporting and data visibility across the business.




- Ensuring strong financial controls, statutory compliance and reporting.
- Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team.

About You Y ou will be an experienced finance leader with strong commercial instincts and the confidence to influence at an executive level.

You enjoy being close to the operations and understanding how a business really works. Rather than simply reporting on historical performance, you use data and financial insight to help leaders understand what's happening, why it's happening and what they should do next.

You will ideally bring

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualified qualification.
- Significant experience in a senior finance role such as Head of Finance, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Commercial Finance Manager.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with demonstrated experience supporting business performance and growth.
- Advanced budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting capability.
- Experience analysing profitability, margins, revenue and cost drivers.
- The ability to challenge assumptions and provide considered commercial advice.
- Strong leadership capability with experience developing high-performing finance teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to make complex financial information clear and relevant.
- A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
