The Role An opportunity exists for a Health Lawyer at any level to join the firm's Brisbane team.
Working closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers, you will advise medical defence organisations, health insurers, private hospitals, healthcare organisations and individual practitioners across a diverse range of matters, including:
- Complex medical negligence and civil litigation;
- Coronial inquests;
- AHPRA and OHO complaints and investigations;
- QCAT disciplinary proceedings; and
- Statutory investigations, clinical reviews and Commissions of Inquiry.
The work is wide-ranging, interesting and often complex, offering excellent exposure across both contentious and regulatory health matters.

The Ideal Person The team is open to lawyers at all levels and would be interested in hearing from candidates with:
- Experience in health law, medical indemnity, defendant insurance and/or regulatory work;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients, insurers and healthcare professionals; and
- A collaborative and down-to-earth approach.
- Lawyers with relevant transferable litigation experience and a genuine interest in developing a specialisation in health law are also encouraged to apply.
