Resources has recently entered an exciting partnership with Havilah Resources to advance the Kalkaroo Copper-Gold Project in South Australia.
Sandfire is offering a 12-month fixed-term position, with the potential to extend for an additional six months, for a highly organised and collaborative Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Systems Specialist who has a genuine passion for HSW. This role will be part of the Sandfire Operations Management Team and is based at our corporate Head Office in West Perth. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of HS&W.;
Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Sandfire’s HSW management system, including audit and monitoring programs.
- Manage HSW data quality, reporting, dashboards and analysis.
- Identify safety trends and opportunities for improvement and support incident lessons learned.
- Maintain HSW systems and documentation to ensure they remain accurate and compliant.
- Work with operational and exploration teams to ensure HSW systems and processes are fit for purpose.
- Coordinate Australian wellbeing initiatives and manage the Employee Assistance Program.
- Provide administrative and financial support to the HSW and Technical Services teams.
About you
- Grad Certificate in Health & Safety
- Experience in HSW, risk, compliance, systems, data or a related field.
- Systems experience viewed favourably (INX, Velocity Risk)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on data quality.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Experience in the mining or resources sector will be highly regarded.
