We're recruiting on behalf of an established Brisbane heavy vehicle and plant maintenance provider. They've been servicing the local plant and transport market for years and cover both sides of the river, with a mix of workshop and mobile field work.
They're looking to add a couple of diesel mechanics to the team.
What the work looks like
- Servicing, diagnostics and breakdown repairs on heavy plant and vehicles
- Earthmoving gear, trucks and trailers, EWPs, cranes, forklifts and gensets
- Split between the workshop and mobile call-outs across Brisbane
- Scheduled maintenance and preventative servicing, plus reactive breakdown work
- Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and air brake systems
What we're after
- Trade qualification in heavy diesel, plant mechanics or agricultural machinery — Australian or recognised overseas equivalent
- Solid diagnostic ability and comfort working unsupervised on site
- Australian driver's licence
- Full Australian work rights
- White Card, or willingness to complete one before starting
Handy but not essential
- Forklift or EWP high risk work licence
- ARCtick refrigerant handling
- HR licence
- Welding — MIG or TIG
- Auto electrical or hydraulics specialisation
On offer
- $55-70 per hour plus super, depending on tickets and experience
- 24/7 breakdown support work, so overtime is there if you want it
- Established business with a secure client base, not a startup
- Variety across the fleet rather than the same machine every day
