About the role
ANL is seeking a dedicated Tyre Fitter/Trades Assistant to join our team on a full time basis at our state of the art workshop located at our Badgery’s Creek facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or develop their career in the automotive trades sector. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for fitting and maintaining tyres whilst assisting our senior technicians with a variety of automotive tasks.
You will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet receives high-quality service and that all work meets our rigorous safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
1. Fitting and removing tyres from vehicles of various sizes and types
2. Balancing and aligning tyres to ensure optimal performance and safety
3. Inspecting tyres for damage, wear, and defects, and advising the workshop manager on replacements
4. Maintaining and cleaning tyre fitting equipment and workshop tools
5. Assisting senior technicians with general automotive maintenance and repairs
6. Keeping accurate records of work completed and maintaining stock levels of tyres and parts
7. Ensuring the workshop operates safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
8.
Undertaking training to develop technical skills and product knowledge
9. Able to attend breakdowns as and when required
What we're looking for
1. A strong work ethic and genuine interest in the automotive trades industry
2. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy tyres and using hand and power tools
3. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
4. Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach
5. Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work as part of a team
6. Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the automotive sector
7. A current driving licence
8. Relevant qualifications or experience in automotive trades or a similar field (desirable but not essential for the right candidate)
9. Any certifications such as automotive apprenticeship or tyre fitter training would be advantageous
10. Must be able to use levers and tyre machine.
