Restaurant Hosts | Brisbane CBD Venues

Be the person who sets the tone from the moment our guests walk through the door. Ghanem Group is looking for confident, engaging and polished Restaurant Hosts to work across several of our Brisbane venues, all located within and around the CBD.

You do not need to come from a hospitality background.

We are interested in people who have worked in any environment where exceptional customer service, communication and presentation matter. This could include retail, hotels, reception, events, airlines, beauty, luxury brands or other customer-facing roles.

What matters most is that you are confident with people, comfortable taking control of a busy environment and able to create a great first impression.

For the right people, this role can also provide opportunities to develop into our central Reservations Team and office-based roles as you progress within the Group.

Your Role

As a Host, you will be one of the first people our guests meet and one of the last they see. You will manage guest arrivals, reservations, waitlists and table allocations while working closely with our Restaurant Managers, Reservations Team and Front of House leaders.

We are looking for people who can read a room, remain composed when things get busy and confidently take ownership of the guest experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Welcoming guests with warmth, confidence and professionalism.
- Taking ownership of the restaurant entrance and arrival experience.
- Managing reservations, walk-ins, waitlists and table allocations.
- Confidently communicating with guests during busy periods.
- Working closely with Restaurant Managers and venue teams to keep service flowing.
- Building genuine rapport with people from all walks of life.
- Responding to guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Answering telephone enquiries and managing bookings.
- Using reservation systems and other computer-based programs.




- Maintaining accurate guest and booking information.
- Working across several venues within and around the Brisbane CBD.

About You

You may already work in hospitality, but you absolutely do not have to. You could be coming from retail, reception, hotels, customer service, events or another workplace where you have developed strong people skills.

You will ideally bring

- Strong customer service experience from any customer-facing industry.
- Confidence communicating with customers and guests.
- The ability to take control of a busy environment while remaining calm and welcoming.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident computer and general PC skills.
- The ability to learn booking and reservation systems quickly.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, email or similar workplace systems.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Pride in your presentation and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and across different venues.
- Full Australian working rights.

Experience using SevenRooms or another reservation platform is advantageous, but not essential. We can teach you the system.
