Not-for-Profit Organisation | Immediate Start | Potential for Extension An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HR Business Partner / HR Generalist to join a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation on an initial
3-month contract , with the potential for extension. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to an HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle, building trusted relationships with leaders and employees, and providing practical, responsive HR support.
Working closely with leaders and employees across the organisation, you will provide generalist HR support and advice across a broad range of people matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment and selection activities
- Coordinating onboarding, employment contracts and employee documentation
- Providing timely and practical HR advice to managers and employees
- Supporting the broader employee lifecycle , including changes to employment and offboarding
- Assisting with the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures
- Supporting performance review and performance management processes
- Responding to day-to-day employee relations and HR queries
- Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring documentation is up to date
- Contributing to HR initiatives and continuous improvement activities as required
You will be an experienced HR generalist who is comfortable stepping into a busy environment and quickly building strong working relationships. To be successful, you will ideally bring:
- A qualification HR/ Psychology or Business + previous experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or senior HR generalist role
- Broad knowledge and experience across the employee lifecycle
- Strong recruitment, onboarding and HR advisory experience
- Sound understanding of HR policies, procedures and contemporary people practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
- The confidence to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team workplace
- Experience gained within the health, community services or not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded
