Drive workforce insights that shape strategic decisions. Our client is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Data & Analytics Specialist to transform workforce data into meaningful insights that enable better people decisions across the organisation.
Supporting the People & Culture team, you will play a pivotal role in workforce reporting, analytics, strategic workforce planning, and people data governance. Through advanced reporting, insights, and forecasting, you'll help leaders understand workforce trends, manage risk, and make evidence-based decisions that support their people strategy and business objectives.
About the Role
- Deliver regular workforce reporting and insights for Executive Leadership, Management, and stakeholders, providing visibility of workforce health, risks, and key people metrics.
- Design, develop, and embed a sustainable workforce reporting suite that supports strategic decision-making across the organisation.
- Analyse workforce trends and future workforce requirements, identifying opportunities to support organisational strategy through people initiatives and workforce planning.
- Ensure workforce data accuracy, integrity, and governance standards are maintained across people systems and reporting.
- Develop and enhance real-time, self-service reporting solutions that improve accessibility to workforce insights and reduce manual reporting effort.
- Provide expert guidance on complex workforce analytics, ad hoc reporting, and data-driven recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and business stakeholders to ensure consistency of workforce metrics, definitions, and reporting methodologies.
- Champion continuous improvement through automation, AI-enabled solutions, and digital reporting capabilities.
- Support the development of data literacy and analytical capability across the People & Culture team.
About You
You are an experienced analytics professional who enjoys turning complex data into transparent, actionable insights. You combine strong technical capability with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate findings effectively.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in a data analytics, workforce analytics, or people analytics role.
- Advanced Power BI expertise, including data modelling, dashboard development, report optimisation, security management, and self-service reporting solutions.
- Strong understanding of workforce metrics including headcount, FTE, turnover, attrition, tenure, diversity, recruitment, remuneration, performance, employee relations, and organisational design.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, finance, and organisational hierarchy data, with Workday experience highly regarded.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate technical information into business-focused insights.
- A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in leveraging automation and emerging technologies to improve reporting outcomes.
