The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join a high-rise commercial construction project in Scarborough for a 3.5-week temporary assignment commencing 21 August.

You’re the calm in the chaos. You make complex compliance requirements look effortless.

This is a hands-on site role for someone who can walk onto a commercial construction project, get across the operation quickly and add value from day one.

Your role

Working directly on-site, you’ll support the project team across day-to-day health, safety, environment and quality requirements.

Your responsibilities will include

- Conducting site safety inspections, observations and risk assessments
- Monitoring HSEQ compliance across high-rise construction activities
- Supporting incident and near-miss reporting, investigations and corrective actions
- Reviewing and maintaining site HSEQ documentation and records
- Supporting toolbox talks, site inductions and safety communications
- Monitoring contractor and subcontractor compliance with site safety requirements
- Identifying hazards and ensuring corrective actions are followed through
- Working closely with site management, supervisors and trades to maintain strong safety standards
- Supporting the project team with general HSEQ requirements throughout the assignment

About you

You’ll be an experienced HSEQ Advisor who understands the realities of working on an active construction site and can hit the ground running.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Previous HSEQ or Safety Advisor experience within commercial construction
- Experience working on high-rise or large-scale construction projects highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of construction WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Confidence conducting site inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Ability to engage confidently with site management, supervisors, subcontractors and trades
- Strong HSEQ documentation and reporting skills
- A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to site safety
- Availability to commence 21 August and complete the full 3.5-week assignment
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical
