About the role
Geovert is mobilising for a significant rock slope stabilisation project within a live and constrained rail corridor in Queensland, and we're looking for an experienced HSEQ and Cultural Heritage Advisor to support planning, approvals and early works activities within this sensitive and constrained rail corridor environment.
You'll be responsible for implementing and monitoring our project safety systems, environmental controls and cultural heritage requirements, ensuring compliance with approvals, permits and regulatory obligations throughout delivery.
In this role, you'll:
- Support site teams in managing risks associated with rope access works, rock slope stabilisation and working within a live rail environment.
- Review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and lead site inspections and audits.
- Coordinate with regulators, rail authorities, Traditional Owners and other project stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor environmental controls and cultural heritage management processes.
- Support planning and approvals during the mobilisation phase and early works.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HSEQ professional with cultural heritage expertise to make a genuine impact on a landmark project within a live rail corridor.
About you
You're an experienced HSEQ professional with a strong background in environmental and cultural heritage management, ideally gained on construction, rail or infrastructure projects in Queensland.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Minimum 5+ years' relevant experience.
- Relevant HSEQ qualifications.
- Demonstrated environmental and cultural heritage management experience.
- RIW (Rail Industry Worker) competencies, or the ability to obtain them.
- Proven experience delivering construction projects within Queensland, including environmentally and culturally sensitive areas.
- Solid stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work across technical, cultural and regulatory contexts.
