With a secured renewable energy pipeline of more than 5GW, we are continuing to grow our operations across Australia and New Zealand and are looking for an experienced HSEQ Manager AU/NZ to help shape the next stage of our growth. This is not a traditional compliance focused HSE role. It is a senior leadership opportunity for an HSEQ professional who wants to influence how safety, environmental performance and quality are embedded across a growing EPC business.

The Opportunity

This role will lead the strategic direction, implementation and continuous improvement of HSEQ across INTEC's Australian and New Zealand operations.

This role is ideally suited to an HSEQ professional who is conversant with construction site environments and understands how legislation, risk management and HSEQ systems need to operate in practice, not just on paper.

You will bring that practical experience into a strategic leadership role, developing policies, systems and standards that work across the business and can be effectively implemented by project and operational teams.

Working closely with senior leadership and project teams across commercial, engineering, procurement and construction, you will provide the leadership, systems and assurance required to support the safe and successful delivery of major renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the HSEQ strategy across Australia and Current Zealand, driving a proactive culture of safety, environmental responsibility and quality.

Develop and continuously improve HSEQ systems,



policies and processes to meet legislative, regulatory, ISO and project requirements.

Lead audits, inspections, risk assessments and assurance activities, identifying emerging risks and ensuring effective controls are implemented.

Partner with project and construction leadership to support HSEQ performance across major solar, BESS and HV infrastructure projects.

Oversee incident investigations, environmental management, quality assurance and corrective actions, ensuring lessons learned drive continuous improvement.

Lead, mentor and develop the HSEQ team while building HSEQ capability, leadership engagement and accountability across employees and contractors.

About

You

We are looking for an experienced HSEQ leader who combines recent practical construction-site experience with the strategic capability to develop and implement HSEQ systems across a growing business.

You will bring

10+ years' HSEQ experience, working directly within a comparable sector

Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand HSEQ legislation and requirements, with the practical ability to translate legislation into effective controls and processes on construction sites.

Proven ability to develop HSEQ policies, systems and frameworks and successfully roll them out across a wider organisation.

Experience influencing and coaching construction managers, project leaders, supervisors,



and operational teams, with the credibility to challenge when required.

Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading HSEQ teams and driving a proactive culture of continuous improvement.
