As our team continues to expand, you’ll play an important role in helping create a positive employee experience from recruitment through to onboarding and ongoing team support. Working closely with our leadership team, you’ll help ensure our people feel supported, valued and set up for success while contributing to the strong culture that makes AHLG such a great place to work.

The ideal candidate will have previous HR experience and be organised, approachable, and passionate about people. They will possess excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and a genuine desire to help people thrive.

What you'll be doing

- Coordinate the employee lifecycle, including recruitment support, interview scheduling, employment offers, onboarding, offboarding, inductions, and creating a great experience for new starters.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Coordinate training and development, including professional development and compliance training, while working closely with the WHS Coordinator.
- Provide practical HR support and guidance to managers and employees on day-to-day people matters.
- Assist with maintaining and improving HR policies, procedures, and processes
- Identify opportunities to improve employee experience and contribute to workplace culture initiatives
- Bring energy, initiative, and a sense of humour to the team





What we're after:
- An organised, approachable HR professional who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a generalist HR, HR administration, or people-focused role
- Relevant HR qualifications or equivalent practical experience
- Solid organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and general HR processes.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong computer skills and confidence using a range of digital systems, platforms, and workplace technology
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise competing tasks
- A genuine passion for helping people and building positive workplace culture
- Experience within construction, landscaping, trades, operations, or another hands-on workforce environment will be highly regarded but not essential
