A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced HR Generalist to join a well-established global organisation located in Melbourne's northern suburbs. This role is a 10–12 month maternity leave cover contract and offers exposure to the full employee lifecycle within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, HR compliance, and supporting managers with their day-to-day people management needs.

About the Role

As the HR Generalist, you will play a key role in delivering operational and strategic HR support across the business. You will build robust relationships with managers and employees, ensuring HR best practices are maintained while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Support recruitment activities and talent acquisition initiatives
- Assist with payroll and employee benefits administration
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Coordinate training and development activities
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation,



company policies and HR best practices
- Assist with employee relations matters and performance management processes
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote adherence to company policies and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Human Resources role within Australia
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from the office
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems will be highly regarded
