Heavy Vehicle Mechanic | $57 an hour | Toowoomba, QLD The Role

Join a well-established operation supporting a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, mobile plant and quarry equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for long-term stability, strong overtime opportunities, and a pathway to permanent employment within a supportive team environment.

What's on Offer

- $55 - $57/hr + overtime (dependent on experience and classification)

- Consistent full time hours

- Overtime paid after 7.6 standard hours per day

- 38-hour standard week

- Typical roster: Monday-Friday (6:00am-5:00pm) + Saturday overtime (5:00am-11:00am)

- 17.5% afternoon shift loading

- $25/week tool allowance (if supplying own tools)

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, service and repair heavy diesel trucks, trailers, mobile plant and quarry equipment





- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing activities

- Complete inspections and identify potential issues before failure occurs

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults

- Utilise diagnostic equipment and OEM technical information to identify faults

- Complete maintenance records and defect reporting accurately

- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company procedures and standards

- Contribute positively to workshop operations and support fellow team members when required
