Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Support Officer
(New Position)
Full-time, 38 hours a week – Ongoing
This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, classified under 'special measures' of Section 12 of the Equal Chance Act 2010. Only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.
About the Role The ICT Support Officer is responsible for providing timely, effective and customer-focused ICT support services to RAC and RHL staff, Board members, volunteers, members and visitors.
The role supports the day-to-day operation of the organisation's ICT environment by assisting with hardware and software support, user account administration, troubleshooting, asset management and service desk activities.
The role helps maintain reliable, secure and accessible ICT systems that support the delivery of organisational services, while operating with appropriate independence and accountability.
About You To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Have a Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an ICT support, service desk, systems administration or similar ICT role.
- Demonstrated experience providing ICT support services in a professional business environment.
- Experience providing ICT support within a business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software and network issues.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to requests in a timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
