The Role: We are looking for a Melbourne or Sydney based Industrial/Employment Relations Manager (approx. 5-10 years’ experience) to join our global technology client on a 12-month contract, with strong potential to extend. Role Working with Clario, you will be seconded to a global technology and consumer business, with a national footprint and a distributed workforce. You will play a key role in managing industrial and employment relations matters, with a strong focus on:

- Unfair dismissal disputes in the Fair Work Commission
- Workplace investigations and related people issues
- Supporting the business in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Experience working with, or advising, gig-economy platforms, app-based workforces or other non-traditional employment models will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a broad range of unfair dismissal matters in the Fair Work Commission - including preparing documentation, collating evidence and supporting representation at conferences and hearings.
- Conduct and/or support workplace investigations into grievances, conduct issues and other employment-related concerns, ensuring a fair, consistent and well-documented approach.




- Provide practical guidance on day-to-day employment and workplace relations issues, such as performance management, conduct concerns and termination processes.
- Work closely with People & Culture, operations and leadership teams to assess risk and develop sensible strategies for resolving disputes and managing issues.
- Assist with maintaining and improving templates, playbooks and processes for investigations, disputes and Fair Work Commission matters.
- Help identify trends and recurring themes and contribute to policy or process improvements to reduce future issues.
- Stay across relevant developments in workplace relations, unfair dismissal and procedural fairness.

About You:

- Around 5-10 years’ experience in industrial relations, employment relations or workplace relations, ideally in a complex or high-volume environment.
- Legal qualifications and experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Strong, hands-on experience working with the Fair Work Commission, particularly on unfair dismissal disputes.
- Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations into grievances or conduct issues.
- Experience working with, or supporting, gig-economy, app-based or non-traditional workforce models will be highly regarded.
- Solid understanding of the Australian workplace relations framework and Fair Work processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - you can explain complex issues in clear, practical, people-centred language.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach - you’re able to balance risk, fairness and operational realities.
