Injury Management Coordinator
Berriedale, Tasmania Permanent full-time, or part-time at four days per week
Salary: $95 - 105K + super

Our Injury Management Coordinator plays a key role in running our highly effective Early Intervention injury management program. So you won't need to build systems from scratch - your role will focus on strengthening, refining and delivering what we already have, leveraging your experience in a rehabilitation management capacity.
The core focus of this role is empowering and supporting our managers so they can best support their teams. You will work mostly in office, providing hands-on support, attending medical appointments with employees, and occasionally conducting welfare checks with patrons who experience injuries on-site.

The Gig
- Partner directly with managers across all business units.
- Participate in and deliver training and education to equip managers with the tools to support injured workers and navigate return-to-work pathways.
- Coordinate injury response, workers' compensation claims and return-to-work plans under the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (Tas).
- Manage and facilitate Mona's Early Intervention injury management program by supporting injured workers to achieve safe, sustainable outcomes.
- Act as a consistent,
approachable point of contact for injured workers, communicating clearly and compassionately throughout their recovery.
- Support injured workers to understand their rights, obligations and options at each stage of the claims and return-to-work process.
- Conduct compassionate and prompt welfare checks for patrons injured on-site.
- Maintain strong relationships with medical panels, insurers and allied health providers.
- Attend off-site medical appointments with employees to facilitate clear communication and recovery plans.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and coordinate the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Create and update job dictionaries to support accurate, evidence-based fitness for work and return-to-work assessments.
- Contribute to proactive injury prevention strategies tailored to diverse work environments, from kitchens to construction.
The You:
- Approved training or accreditation as an Injury Management Coordinator under the Tasmanian Act.
- Previous experience in an Injury Management Coordinator role where you have played an advisory role and/or experience in Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation (Rehab Provider), Physiotherapy or Allied Health.
- Strong working knowledge of the Tasmanian workers' compensation scheme, claims management, return-to-work strategies and relevant privacy legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of coaching, advising and guiding leaders through injury management processes.
