We are looking for an Insolvency Graduate / Intermediate to join our Brisbane team.

This is an opportunity for an insolvency professional with 1–3 years’ experience who is looking to broaden their technical skills, take on greater responsibility and develop their career within a specialist insolvency, restructuring and advisory practice.

Depending on your experience and interests, you will have the opportunity to work across:

- Corporate insolvency and restructuring – voluntary administrations, liquidations, receiverships, Deeds of Company Arrangement and restructuring plans

- Business valuations – a range of valuation engagements including business and share valuations, shareholder disputes, family law matters and other commercial purposes

- Advisory engagements – financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, business reviews, turnaround and restructuring advice and other corporate advisory assignments

- Forensic engagements – investigations, financial analysis, tracing and review of transactions and preparation of reports

- Insolvency investigations and recoveries – investigations into company affairs, potential voidable transactions, asset recoveries and creditor claims

This provides the opportunity to develop a well-rounded skill set across insolvency, accounting, valuation and corporate advisory.

About the role

You will work closely with experienced practitioners across a variety of matters and will be involved in:





- The day-to-day management of various insolvency files;

- Assisting with voluntary administrations, liquidations, receiverships and restructuring engagements

- Preparing statutory and creditors’ reports

- Conducting investigations into company affairs and potential voidable transactions

- Financial analysis and preparation of cash flow forecasts

- Asset investigations, recoveries and realisations

- Creditor communications and claims adjudication

- Assisting with business and share valuations

- Preparing financial analysis and supporting valuation models

- Assisting with forensic and investigative engagements

- Preparing correspondence, reports and other documentation

- Liaising with directors, creditors, solicitors, financial institutions and other stakeholders

- Progressively taking responsibility for aspects of engagements as your experience develops

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

- 1–3 years’ experience in insolvency, ideally within a professional services environment
- A relevant accounting, finance or business degree

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Good analytical and problem-solving ability

- Prior knowledge of Core IPS and Xero (ideal but not required)

- An interest in insolvency, restructuring, valuations and corporate advisory

- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn




- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A practical and commercial approach to solving problems
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

CA/CPA studies or progress towards professional qualifications would be viewed favourably, but are not essential.
