About us

We’re a specialist provider of anti-money laundering (AML/CTF) training products, used by law firms, accounting practices, real estate agencies and financial institutions across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Our courses have trained thousands of professionals, and the Tranche 2 reforms have brought current sectors into scope – a step change in demand, and an opportunity to rebuild how this kind of education gets made. We’re proud of the training we’ve built, and ambitious about what comes next. We want to create learning products that couldn’t have existed two years ago.

About the role

We’re looking for an Instructional Designer to take complex regulatory subject matter and turn it into training that is accurate, well-structured and engaging to experience. This role exists because we want to find someone who can contribute directly to the team leading how compliance training gets built.

Your work will include

- Researching primary sources and working with subject matter experts to develop new topics and training content
- Turning complex regulation into training people actually absorb
- Prototyping new product ideas
- Building interactive eLearning in Articulate Rise 360, with an eye for layout, engagement and visual polish
- Applying quality assurance processes and helping us uphold high content standards
- Setting up and publishing new SCORM courses on our LMS, and producing supporting collateral, such as course descriptions
- Researching and incorporating new technologies into the content development process, and building repeatable workflows around what works
- Staying across financial crime news, AML/CTF regulatory change and new AI tooling, and making the call on what is genuinely useful for continuous improvement

About you

- You’re AI-native. LLMs are part of how you work every day, and you’ve built things with them – prompt chains, projects, automations, agents, evaluation loops.
- You have editorial judgement. You can look at generated output and know instantly what’s wrong with it. Your work looks considered.

You notice when spacing, hierarchy or imagery is off.
- You can write and communicate. You take something dense and make it easy to follow.
- You’re a systems thinker. You document what you’ve built so someone else can run it, and you think in terms of process rather than one-off outputs.
- Instructional design experience. Experience with authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Rise 360 or Storyline) and SCORM/LMS delivery is valued, though we’re open to strong candidates from adjacent content backgrounds.
- AML/CTF or compliance knowledge. Strongly preferred, though we’re open to teaching the domain to the right person. Curiosity about financial crime helps.

Your background might be AML/CTF, law, compliance, professional services, education, instructional design, product or engineering – or something else entirely. We care most about how you think, what you’ve made and how you communicate.

Why this role

This is a hands-on role in a growing business. You won’t be boxed into “research” or “authoring” – scope is broad, priorities move quickly, and you’ll be expected to own processes end to end.

- Direct access to the senior team, with real career development ahead of you
- An established customer base and proven product
- Projects you’ll be proud of, for loyal customers who value the work
- The chance to make a difference in how people are educated about financial crime
- Competitive salary, hybrid flexibility and new Sydney CBD offices
- A longstanding team that values hard work and continuous learning
- Social and well-being activities

Location and employment type

We’re open to candidates based in Sydney, NSW, working from our CBD office a minimum of three days a week. Location: Sydney, NSW

Employment type: Full-time, permanent

How to apply

Send us your CV and a short covering note telling us about something you taught yourself, and what you made. If you have an example of work you’re proud of – a module, an article, anything you designed – please include it if you’re comfortable doing so.

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia.
