Our Client, Old Mate Financial Services is seeking an experienced Tier 1 Insurance Broker who enjoys building long-term relationships rather than chasing transactional sales.

You'll inherit an established portfolio of rural, commercial and domestic clients. This is an chance to spend more time advising clients and building relationships, with the support and flexibility to grow your portfolio over time. We're a relationship-focused business that values professionalism, autonomy and delivering genuine value to our clients.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of rural, commercial and domestic insurance clients while delivering exceptional customer service and tailored insurance solutions.

Your Responsibilities

● Manage an established portfolio of rural, commercial and domestic insurance clients

● Prepare quotes, renewals and policy documentation

● Negotiate with insurers

● Provide expert insurance advice tailored to clients' needs

● Assist clients through the claims process

● Build lasting client relationships

● Actively generate and convert new business opportunities

● Grow your portfolio through your own network, proactive canvassing & new business enquiries





● Promote finance solutions through referrals

● Maintain compliance and accurate records

Skills & Experience

● Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification (Diploma highly regarded)

● Experience in insurance broking, underwriting or account management

● Proven ability to generate and win new business

● Ability to work independently in a remote environment

● Excellent organisation and time management

● High attention to detail

● Strong client service focus

● Current Australian working rights

● Rural insurance experience would be a big advantage, particularly across farm, crop & livestock
