About The Role In this role, you’ll work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver innovative digital products and services. Bringing your technical expertise and industry insight, you’ll shape integration solutions that support organisational goals, solve real business challenges and deliver measurable value.
Work type: Permanent, full-time.
Classification: Band 8 $ 125,701 pa plus super.
Key responsibilities include
- Analyse business and technical requirements to identify and define integration needs
- Design and implement scalable, robust integration solutions aligned with architectural standards and best practices.
- Deliver end-to-end integration solutions across multiple platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
- Develop and maintain automation workflows to optimise business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Leverage third-party APIs and SDKs to build secure, reliable integrations that meet compliance and security requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to team members and stakeholders on integration approaches and solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration frameworks, tools, and practices within the department.
- Support the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to enhance integration capabilities and outcomes.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field and substantial professional experience in a comparable organisation for at least 5 years.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering end-to-end integration solutions across multiple platforms and systems.
- Experience using RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and other data exchange formats.
- Well-developed knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL DB.
- Programming skills in Microsoft technologies i.e. C#, with experience leveraging Azure integration services and messaging systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role.
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a pre-employment medical assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
