About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Interim Deputy Head - Primary Years to join our committed Primary Years team in January 2027. Reporting to the Head of Primary Years, this key leadership role takes direction in the managing and leadership of the team, fostering an active, high performing and supportive Primary Years program. This is a 12 month maximum term contract position.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement programs while providing pastoral care through restorative practices

- Provide key administrative support to the Head of Primary Years

- Exemplify best practice teaching and role modelling across all learning environments

- Reflect the ethos of the College to peers and colleagues

What You Bring

- A Queensland Teacher Registration is mandatory and further training in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be highly regarded

- Proven experience managing human relationships and collaborative working

- Experience in a similar educational leadership role,



with demonstrated success leading staff, supporting student outcomes and driving improvement initiatives

- Solid experience leading pastoral care practices and programs

- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

- Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values
